Headquartered in Geneva, UNECE is one of the five UN regional economic commissions. With its 56 member States, UNECE promotes economic development, including urban sustainability. It is of the principal partners of GCH in Geneva.
Headquartered in Geneva, UNDRR works with States and a wide range of other partners to reduce disaster risk. Given that more and more disasters hit cities, UNDRR has also been engaging with them to improve local resilience.
UNHCR protects and assists refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and stateless people. Headquartered in Geneva, it operates worldwide, including in cities which now host the vast majority of refugees and IDPs.
